A New Chapter
I am so excited to announce that I am making a change and starting a new chapter in my life! I am stepping full-time into my purpose as a speaker, motivator, and coach and I am focusing my efforts completely on my entrepreneurial endeavors, especially Changing the Game Coaching.
As I started to write, for some reason, the thoughts came to me in the form of either poetry or song. Maybe this pandemic has me locked down with my children for so long that I’m starting to sing everything, including my thoughts. Or maybe this change has me so filled with joy that I’m actually able to focus full-time (other than the homeschooling and never-ending parenting and feeding my sons) on the projects that ignite my fire, that I can’t help but sing about it.
Actually, I feel like it sounds more like a children’s book. Aahhh to be young again. That may be what I’m feeling, a youthful glee. The anticipation of a kid that knows they’ve had a good year and they just can’t wait to see what Santa put under the tree. Although, one could likely argue that this year hasn’t been all that good. It’s all in how you look at it. My glass stays half full (as opposed to half-empty, of course).
Either way, I didn’t want to delay my career change announcement any longer, so enjoy. And feel free to let me know if a particular melody or beat, or children’s book came to mind in the comments. Sounds like a limerick, I know, don’t judge me 😝.
Change = A Sea of Possibility
I appreciate every stop along my journey, as there have been a few. I am so thankful for everyone I had the pleasure to meet, and those that I got to really know.
I’m sure it’ll be a while before I truly realize all that I have gained and the wisdom earned, and how does one begin to thank every teacher for everything I’ve learned?
Yet I say thank you to everyone a part of my journey thus far, and all those yet to come.
Hoping, like you’ve done for me, that I have properly played my part in who you are to become.
Believing there are no accidents, because we were all meant to meet.
Isn’t that one of the secrets of life? We’re not brought here alone, nor meant to be lonely.
So it’s hard to say goodbye sometimes when you’ve been somewhere so long.
Yet I understand that “sometimes the place you’re used to, is not the place you belong” (David Oyewolo as Robert Katende, Queen of Katwe).
Oh but there’s an excitement in the air, now that I’ve recognized that truth. I see a sea of possibility, and the sky’s the limit beyond that roof!
So now I’m bubbling over because I know one thing is right. The next steps along my journey are the next steps of the rest of my life!
It’s time for me to Change the Game! Or do my part, at least.
And all I ask is if you also long for more, or to understand your purpose, or are in the midst of change or transformation, that you’ll be motivated to join me!

Are you in the midst of a life change or major transformation? Have your current circumstances, especially due to COVID-19, made you realize, that something’s got to give?
Let me know in the comments how you’re changing the game, or planning to.
